Kirishima Open Air Museum
This is an outdoor art museum surrounded by magnificent nature on a plateau at an altitude of about 700 meters. Highly artistic artworks are displayed throughout the vast grounds, and visitors can touch them, take photos, and appreciate the art. In addition to the exhibits, there is also a multi-purpose space for creative activities and seminars, a cafeteria, and a mini library.

Onami Pond
It is popular as a relatively easy mountain to climb, with an elevation of 1,411m. The hiking trail is in a primeval forest of fir and hemlock trees, and an easy path is provided to the summit. We also recommend walking along the promenade around the pond, which can be completed in about two hours.

Kirishima Hot springs Market
Located in the center of the Kirishima Onsen Hot springs, this convenient spot has a tourist information center, as well as shops selling local specialties and Food. There is a steaming area in the square where you can enjoy Hot springs manju and Hot springs eggs. We also recommend eating soft serve ice cream while soaking your feet in the footbath.

Maruo Falls
This magnificent waterfall is 23 meters high and 16 meters wide and can be found along National Route 223 heading from Maruo Hot springs to Kirishima Shrine. It is a rare "hot waterfall" that collects Hot springs water and flows, and in autumn the spray of the water shines against the autumn leaves, and in winter Steam rises from the waterfall, creating a beautiful sight.

Kirishima Roadside Station and Kirishima Myth Village Park
Located at an altitude of 670m, it offers a panoramic view of Kinko Bay, Sakurajima, and on clear days, even Kaimon-dake. This roadside station also offers attractions such as a sightseeing lift and a super slider.

Kirishima Shrine
It is also famous as a power spot, with its 800-year-old sacred cedar tree and pebbles.
This shrine is bustling with approximately 1.5 million visitors a year. It is the place where Ryoma Sakamoto and Oryo visited on "Japan's first honeymoon."

Takachiho Ranch
This is a tourist ranch where you can interact with cows, horses, sheep and goats that have been raised in the great outdoors, and experience making sausages and butter by hand. Why not enjoy the air of Kirishima, which is rich in nature?

Kareigawa Station
It is a retro wooden station building that is over 100 years old and is registered as a tangible cultural property. The "Hyakunen no Tabi Monogatari Kareigawa" (Hundred Years of Travel Story: Kareigawa)" which has been ranked first for three consecutive years in the "Kyushu Ekiben Ranking" sponsored by JR Kyushu is also popular.

Shiobitashi Hot springs Ryoma Park
Shiobitashi Hot springs is where Ryoma Sakamoto and his wife Oryo stayed for 18 days on their honeymoon in March of the lunar calendar in 1866 (Keio 2). There is a hot Hot springs facility where Ryoma Sakamoto is said to have taken a cure, a museum, a monument commemorating the couple's honeymoon, and a foot bath.

Wake Shrine
This shrine enshrines Wake no Kiyomaro, who was active from the end of the Nara period to the beginning of the Heian period. It is said to bring good fortune in academics and child rearing. At the neighboring Wake Park, you can see colorful and beautiful wisteria flowers from mid-April to early May.

Kagoshima Airport
With 17 domestic routes and 4 international routes, it is a hub airport for tourism and logistics in southern Kyushu. On the airport grounds, there is a natural foot bath Hot springs called "Oyattosaa" where you can relax and unwind after your trip.
